Philips-Whirlpool (Refrigerators Manufacturing Company of Pakistan Ltd)
Development of a customized Enterprise Resource Planning software application. This was a downsizing / rightsizing project in which the legacy applications on AS/400 and System/36 were ported onto Intel / Windows NT / Oracle platform. This also involved migration of several gigabytes of legacy data onto the new platform. The first phase of the project was finished in a record time of 6 months, while the 2nd phase of the migration was completed well before the deadline. The client was able to completely phase out their AS/400 and System/36 machines thus saving a considerable amount of money in the maintenance of these expensive machines.
